Dr. Samuel is a Biochemist, committed researcher and Teacher of the subject in University of Lagos, Lagos Nigeria. She had her B.Sc. (Hons) in 1987, Master of Philosophy (M phil) 1993, and a PhD Biochemistry 2009 all from the University of Lagos, Lagos.  She has been a Lecturer in the department of Biochemistry since 2005 till date. She has been involved in teaching Biochemistry students, Biological science students, Medical and Dental students and students of Basic Medical sciences both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

She has a broad background in Biochemistry and her research interest includes Endocrinology and Metabolism, Biochemical biomarkers, Foetal programming, Nutraceuticals, Nanotechnology and Cancer research. She has been exposed to some equipment needful for her research. Thus far she has used the spectrophotometer, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, polymerase chain reaction technique, the workings of Atomic absorption spectrophotometer, Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique for measuring biochemical biomarkers
