Dr. Ologbenla is an Associate Professor of Political Science, and also a Solicitor and an Advocate to the Supreme Court of Nigeria. After his first and Masters degrees at Birmingham University in the UK he returned to Nigeria for his NYSC between 1981 and 82. Hejoinedthe University in 1982 as an Assistant Lecturer and later registered for his Ph.D programme in the Department. Dr. Ologbenla has had the responsibility of serving the University in various capacities. He was an elected member of the Senate of the University of Lagos on three occasions. He served in that capacity for 6 years as a Senate member and as a member of the Senate Library Committee. He was one-time the Sub-Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences. Dr. Ologbenla has chaired many Committees and has also acted as the Head of Department at various times. He is currently a member of the board of HRDC and the Hall Master of Shodeinde Hall. His area of research and teaching interests are Political Economy, Political Theory and Comparative Politics. Dr. Ologbenla has published in local and international journals.
