Mr. Okpowhoavotu Dan Ekere is a philosopher, political theorist and public affairs analyst. He graduated from the University of Benin with a BA (Hons) degree in Philosophy with second class upper division and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Lagos where he is also researching on his doctorate. He is a member of the Philosophical Association of Nigeria (PAN).

He is very passionate about social order and with the strong conviction that philosophical thinking is critical to the attainment of social order. 

He propagates the position that Africa’s challenges must be creatively addressed by Africans and in Africa’s own way by looking inward. This informs his keen research interest in Socio-Political Philosophy, Ethics, Ontology, African Philosophy and Epistemology. He has presented papers at various conferences both local and international and has equally published in both local and international journals and books
