Dr. Abimbola Esther Bankole, a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Botany. She had previously worked at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-iwoye, Ogun State for about three years where she taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her areas of research and specialization include Plant physiology, Tissue culture techniques and Ethnobotany. Her research interest focuses on application tissue culture techniques in the germination and conservation of some medicinal and horticultural plants. She has published in these research areas.

She is engaged in building interpersonal skills and developing students for analytical research through teaching and mentoring.  She is a member of a number of professional bodies and a reviewer in some reputable scientific journal publications.
