Dr. Adelaja ODUKOYA

Dr. Odukoya is an Associate Professor of Political Science. His areas of research interests in which he is widely published in both local and international outlets are Political Economy and Comparative Politics. Dr. Odukoya was awarded the University grant for his doctoral research work at the York University, Canada. He was a former member of the University Senate where he served on several University Committees, including the Committees on the operations of the Medical Centre and Staff School. Dr. Odukoya is the former Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), UNILAG branch as well as the Managing Editor, UNILAG Journal of Politics, and ASUU Journal of Social Sciences. He was an External Examiner to the University of Ibadan, Peace and Conflict Study programme. He is also currently the External Examiner for the Institute of Peace and Security Studies (IPSS), University of Ibadan, as well as the B.Sc., PGD and M.Sc. Peace and Conflict Resolution programme of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Dr. Odukoya has served as External Examiner for PhD viva at Babcock University. Dr. Odukoya is currently engaged in a DFID and University of London five-year sponsored research under the Agricultural Policy Research for Africa (APRA) as the Lead Researcher on the Political Economy of Agricultural Commercialization in Nigeria. He is a member of the American Political Science Association, International Political Science Association (IPSA), Canadian Association of African Studies (CAAS), International Political Economy Association, Society of International Relations Awareness (SIRA), among several other reputable academic organizations.
