Dr. Adesola ADEJUMO

Dr Adejumo Ifedolapo is a Medical Doctor and Clinical Pharmacologist with a special focus in Diabetes where she is currently conducting research for her PhD program.  An enthusiast in translational medicine with a knack and natural passion for scientific research and discovery.

Her first degree was in Medicine & Surgery from Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu in 2010. Furthermore, she got the School of Postgraduate studies prize as best graduating student during her Masters degree in Pharmacology in 2018 after which due to her hardworking, proactive & result oriented personality, worked as a Research Assistant in various scientific researches. Dr Adejumo is presently employed as a Lecturer II in the Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology, University of Lagos, Nigeria and over the past year of employment has mentored five undergraduate students.

Currently, she is also a Co-investigator in ongoing research in collaboration with the Gastroenterology Unit of Lagos University Teaching Hospital:  Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial assessing efficacy and safety profile of oral Ziliv® among patients with Hepatic disease attending the Gastroenterology Clinic of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, Lagos, Nigeria. She was also the corresponding author in her first publication” Low Prevalence of Isoniazid Preventive Therapy uptake among HIV-infected Patients attending Tertiary Health Facility in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria” which was published in the Pan African Medical Journal, 2021.

Professional associations which she is a member of include:  Nigerian Medical Association (Lagos Zone) Committee of Sick Doctors; Volunteer, health-based NGO- Real Visionaries Initiatives; West African Society for Pharmacology.
