Dr. Aliyu ADEDEJI

 ADEDEJI Aliyu Ajao was admitted to study French in 2000/2001 at the University of Lagos and graduated in 2005 as a best graduating Student of the then Department of European Languages. He then proceeded with his Master Degree which he obtained in 2009. Furthermore, he enrolled for his MPhil/Ph.D. and completed his Ph.D. in 2016. Dr. Aliyu Adedeji Ajao started is teaching career at the University of Lagos as a Teaching Assistant in 2006. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, Faculty of Arts at the University of Lagos. His areas of specialization are: French and Francophone Literatures, French and Francophone Culture and Civilizations and Translation. He has 19 articles in Local and International Journals. His areas of research interest are and not limited to: Contemporary issues in Cross border migrations, Toxic Language among the youths in West Africa, Francophone African Female Authors: Issues and Perspective. He is currently the PG Coordinator of the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies as well as a Member of the University of Lagos Senate. He is also a member of many research groups within the University and outside such as Drug Abuse, Risky Sexual Behaviour and Violent Crimes among Adolescents in Nigeria and Benin Republic, EU-AFRICA Connect Team which recently won a grant from the Jean Monnet Foundation for European Integration. He is happily married with children.
