Irene N. Osemeka, B.A. History (Hons), M.A. History, Ph.D. (Lagos) is a Senior lecturer in the Department of History and Strategic Studies, University of Lagos, Her area of specialization is Conflict and Peace Studies, and International Relations.  Her research interests include social and public history.  She is the author of the Casamance Revolt in Senegal (Rex Charles Publications, Lagos 2008).  She currently coordinates the departmental Foundation Programme.  She is also the pioneer Coordinator of the Advanced Diploma in Law Enforcement Administration (ADLEA) programme run by the department.
