Osilagun,Johnson Adekunle was born on 5th March,1967 in Somolu,Lagos,Nigeria. He attained his primary education in Somolu and completed his secondary education at Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Ijebu-Ode where he obtained his O/Level certificate. He holds a B.Sc.  in Mathematics from Ogun State University,Ago-Iwoye(now Olabisi Onabanjo University)(1992),an M.Sc. in Mathematics from University of Ibadan(1998) and Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of Ilorin (2013).

He began his academic career as a graduate assistant in 1994 at Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye and moved to University of Lagos in 2010.He is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, university of Lagos. He has supervised over thirty B.Sc. students, 8 M. Sc,4 PGD in mathematics at postgraduate level. He has been an internal examiner for Ph.D. mathematics and a member of both Nigeria mathematics Society and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
