Dr. Ola Kamiyo is a Senior Lecturer and former Acting Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria (2015-2017), where he is actively involved in both teaching and research at the postgraduate level. Dr. Kamiyo holds a BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Lagos. Dr Kamiyo was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari”, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy. He spent about a year at the London South Bank University as a Researcher with Professor Tassos Karayiannis and late Professor M.W. Collins.

Dr Kamiyo is a well-rounded, conscientious, creative and goal-oriented personality; possesses highly analytical and practical trouble-shooting skills. Also endowed with excellent organizing and planning skills. A good motivator with sharp communication skills. Highly self-driven and team-oriented with range of post-qualification career experiences in research, academic and industry. He has over 40 publications in learned journal and peer-reviewed conference proceedings. Dr Kamiyo’s areas of research interest include heat transfer in enclosures and thermal properties of novel building materials.
