Dr Excellence Akeredolu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Zoology, University of Lagos. He holds a Ph.D. with specialization in Ecotoxicology and wetland resource management (University of Ibadan), MSc, Fisheries management (University of Ibadan), B.Tech, Fisheries and Wildlife management (FUTA) and a Graduate Certificate in Endangered species management (University of Kent).
Dr Akeredolu is an active member of several professional bodies including the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB), Royal Society of Biology, British Ecological Society, and Society for Wetland Scientist, Birdlife International, World Aquacultural Society, Swim way Africa Initiative and the IUCN Species Specialist Group on Pangolin. Dr Akeredolu has served in various capacities : as a member of the Board of Governors of the SCB Freshwater Working Group, Advisory Board of Swim way Initiative Africa, Liaison Officer for chapters ( SCB Africa section) and the West Africa Representative for the Society for Ecological Restoration.
In the University of Lagos, Dr Akeredolu pioneered Student chapters of SCB Freshwater working Group and the Society for Ecological restoration which are the first of their kind in Africa. Dr Akeredolu is a dynamic, proactive, resilient person with a strong personality based on integrity. He works favourably under pressure, very focused, productive, and flexible and goal oriented. Knows how to prioritise assignment, learn very fast and work in a team.
