Dr. Olurotimi A. Adeleye had his first degree (B.Eng.) from Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State (FUTA) and Masters’ degree (MSc. (Distinction)) from University of Lagos in Mechanical Engineering.  He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computational Mechanics in the department of Systems Engineering on 23^rd December, 2014 from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His Ph.D. thesis is titled “Experimental and Numerical Analyses of Nonlinear Deformation of Dental Resin composites”. The aim of this Ph.D. research work was to develop a deformation predictive model for dental resin composite that accounts for both viscoelastic and viscoplastic components of the response of the dental resin composite to various loading conditions.

Through his research work, he won (along with others) a research grant (UNILAG/LRDC N0. 2014/06) of three million naira (N3million) from Lagos State Government and published the outcome of the research in some journals. His future research interest is in the area of Computational Biomechanics, which is “applying computer methods in the study of mechanics of body systems and implants”.
