Dr. OJEKUNLE obtained his PhD in 2016 under the CAS-TWAS Scholarship from the State key Laboratory of Geo-mechanics and Geo-technical engineering, Institute of Rocks and Soil Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhan, China. In 2010 he was awarded the Chinese Government Scholarship for his Masters studies in the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, College of Civil Engineering, Tianjin University, China.

His areas of research include soil improvement, road and railway engineering, and hydrogeology. His research was supported by research grants, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for Distinguished Young International Scientist (For 100 persons every year in China). He is a strong research professional with published research articles.
