Dr. Paul Obi is a registered architect; he is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Architects, (NIA) , architect’s registration council of Nigeria(ARCON), association of architectural educators in Nigeria (AARCHES)and a member society of construction industry arbitrators(SCIA).

He was appointed Lecturer II at the department in 2005, since then he has been teaching design studio, computer aided design, building construction, urban design and working drawing and specification.

He served the school in different administrative capacities, he is the Co-ordinator of the e-lab committee of the Department of Architecture, Course Adviser of Med 1 class, Chairman, Departmental Consultancy Committees (DCC) Dept. of Architecture.

Dr. Paul Obi served his primary assignment as a youth copper at Nigeria airways properties division; as a supervising architect with UNILAG consults; as architect with roye ibru associates; and as a project manager with form master and associates. He has worked on DESIGN AND Construction of VARIOUS ARCHITECTURAL BUILDING TYPES; RESIDENTIAL, HOSPITALITY, MIXED USE DEVELOPMENTS, that includes; refurbishment of federal palace hotel, Victoria island; the apostolic church Maryland; legacy secondary school shahs; the palace of igwe I obodoakor III of Agulu; and office complex at Bornu way ebute-meta.
