Dr. Sunday OLADELE

Sunday Oladele obtained degrees in Geology and Applied Geophysics with work experience spanning diverse terrains and locations in Nigeria. He has excellent ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment and coordinate technical efforts bridging geology and geophysics. Dr. Oladele has towering expertise in acquisition, processing, interpretation and integration of a broad spectrum of geological and geophysical data. He is principally attracted to projects integrating geophysical, geological, petrologic, and geochemical data sets. His current research is focused on application of rock physics modeling and seismic attributes for reservoir characterization in complex depositional systems. He is equally interested in electromagnetic, gravity, magnetic and radiometric methods applications in frontier basin exploration, geothermal studies, solid mineral exploration and geo-environmental concerns.

Oladele has successfully supervised a quantum of postgraduate and undergraduate theses with several publications in scholarly and reputable journals.

He teaches geology and applied geophysics in the Department of Geosciences; where he is one of the pioneering staff.          His professional affiliations include: NMGS, COMEG, SEG, and SES.
