Yewande is an intelligent academician with interest in initiatives that can improve health outcomes across the spectrum of Maternal and Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing and midwifery practice in the public health interest. I had my undergraduate degree in Nursing from University of Ibadan in the year 2001; Masters in Nursing with specialization in Community Health Nursing and midwifery practice from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2010 and a PhD in Health Informatics (Nursing Informatics) from Babcock University, Ilishan, Ogun State in 2018. I also had my general nursing training at School of Nursing, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan from 1992-1995; Midwifery training at School of Midwifery, Baptist Medical Centre, Saki in Oyo State between 1996 and 1997. I became a fellow of West African College of Nursing in 2015. I am a Member of Sigma Theta Tau International (Honour Society of Nursing, Nigeria chapter, 2018). In addition, also a member of faculty of clinical sciences Junior Academic Committee and a member of faculty of clinical sciences counselling committee. I completed mentored BRAINS research grant in 2020 with a scholarly publication in Journal of Clinical Sciences.
