Dr. Akeem A. Adekunle specialises in Educational Management with emphasis on Educational Administration and Higher Education Management. He had his Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Social Studies/Islamic Religious Studies in 1993, from the Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria (affiliated to the University of Ibadan). He later proceeded to the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, and Lagos State, Nigeria, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Education) (B.A. (Ed.) in Educational Administration (1998), Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration (2001) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Administration (2012) He also obtained a professional Graduate certificate of the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, in addition to being an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). Over the years, he had served as Classroom teacher in public Secondary Schools under the Lagos State Post-Primary Teaching Service Commission, Administrative Officer, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria and Lecturer, Department of Educational Foundations and Management, Federal College of Education, Abeokuta, Ogun State. He joined the services of the University of Lagos as a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Administration in February, 2013. He had served as the Examinations Officer, Department of Educational Management and serves as Course Adviser to undergraduate students in the Department. He also serves as the Faculty of Education Examinations Officer; a member of the University of Lagos Central Time Table Committee; a member of the Faculty of Education Examinations Committee; a member of Faculty of Education Board of Studies and Examiners; a member of Department of Educational Management Accreditation Committee, Secretary, Curriculum Review Committee, of the Department; and Reviewer to Journal of Negro Education, Howard University, USA. He teaches courses in Educational Administration, Human Resources Management in Education, and Higher Education Management. He has conducted research studies in various educational issues and presented papers in learned conferences locally and internationally.
