Dr, ALEX EMUMENA URIRI,

Alex Uriri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography & Regional Planning (DELSU, 1998). He obtained two Masters Degrees: (M.GIS, 2002) & (M.Sc. Population Geography, 2005) and Ph.D. (Geography) (2013/2014) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He was a Participant at the University of Oxford’ Winter School on Demography, 2014 and a Delegate to the Commonwealth Summer Schools held in Malaysia (University of Nottingham (2014)) and in Canada (Universities of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University & Western University (2015). He also undertook a short credit  course on Global Health and Climate Change at the Umea University, Sweden in 2015.

Dr. Alex Uriri is a member of the International Union of the Scientific Study of Population and the Population-Environment Research Network. Alex also has an enthusiasm for and a commitment to development work. He served as I.N.E.C Returning Officer during the 2011, general elections in Lagos State, Nigeria. A regular participant in the mentoring programmes of the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL) and twice an Alumnus of the African Leadership Forum (ALF). Dr. Uriri has an enthusiasm for and a commitment to development work.
