Dr. Okunowo A. A. is a Lecturer and Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with focus on Gynae – oncology. He had his undergraduate training in Medicine and Surgery and graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in December 2000. He had his Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree in 2005 from the University of Lagos. He had his fellowship training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology under the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) and West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and was awarded the Fellow of Medical College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FMCOG) in 2011 and Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in 2014.

Over the years, he has conducted research in several areas in general Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Gynaecological cancers and its prevention. He has mentored several numbers of undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship students and doctors. He is a member of at least 10 professional and academic groups. He has several numbers of publications to his credit and has won a research grant.
