Dr. Temitope Olawunmi SOGBANMU

Dr. Sogbanmu is an Environmental Toxicologist with a research focus on the risks assessment and management of organic pollutants in various environmental media using classic and emerging ecotoxicology tools. She is a graduate of the University of Lagos with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology (2006), MSc and PhD in Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management (2010 and 2016 respectively). Her research has resulted in several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and presentations at local and international conferences. Dr Sogbanmu has been invited as an Ecology/Waste Management expert on a panel constituted by the Federal Ministry of Environment for environmental impact assessment studies and as a guest lecturer at the World Water Day seminars hosted by the Nigerian Environmental Society/United Nations Information Center. Over the years, she has supervised/mentored 17 undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, some of which were funded.

Dr Sogbanmu has past and ongoing inter- and multi-disciplinary collaborations with researchers at universities in Nigeria, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, South Africa, Ghana, among others. She holds membership of several professional societies including the Society of Toxicology (SOT), Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and so on. She is a member, Board of Trustees, Society for Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management (SETPOM).
