Dr. Olowoyeye is a Medical Doctor who specialized as a Radiologist. Her Bachelor’s degree in Medicine & Surgery was from the University of Lagos in 1996. She embarked on a one-year certificate course in diagnostic medical sonography at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), USA in 2004. She obtained a Master of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Lagos in 2009 and holds a PhD in Medical Science from the University of Toronto, Canada. After defending her PhD thesis in 2017, she enrolled for a short course on leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington Seattle, USA.

 

Dr. Olowoyeye is a fellow of the Faculty of Radiology, National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCR), who had her medical residency training at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.  She has certification in point-of-care ultrasound from the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA) USA and registration in General Ultrasound (RDMS) & Vascular Technology (RVT) from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). She has over seventeen years of experience in medical imaging research and has mentored several medical, dental and radiography students over the years. She has also supervised research conducted by Resident doctors in Radiology and is currently the co-ordinator for the Residency Training Program in Radiology at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.
