Dr. Iroanya is a Molecular Biologist with a focus on Forensic Biology. She has her undergraduate degree in Microbiology graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1999, Masters in Pharmaceutical Microbiology in 2005 from University of Nigeria Nsukka and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of Lagos in 2012. Over the years, she has conducted research in Henry Lee institute of Forensic Science, New Haven, Connecticut USA and Cumming School of Medicine’s Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases, University of Calgary, Canada. She has mentored over 30 students and is a member of Cell and Molecular Biology Research group (Unilag), American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), Association of African Biomedical Scientists (AABS), 2016 Unilag Seeding Lab team among other professional and academic groups.
