Dr. Abiodun specialises in Geomatics Engineering approach in Land Information Management and Urban growth modelling. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Surveying in 1999, Masters of Science in Surveying and Geoinformatics, 2003 and a Ph.D. in Surveying and Geoinformatics in 2016 all from the University of Lagos. Dr. Abiodun has over thirteen years of lecturing experience at the University of Lagos. He has conducted research in Land use and Urban expansion modelling. His current research is the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for mapping and surveillance. He has mentored over one hundred students who are respected professionals in the Surveying industry.  He has successfully supervised some postgraduate students at the Masters level and currently a supervisor of two Ph.D. student. He has more than fifteen publications from learned journals and conferences both locally and internationally.
