Dr. Akinmosin Adewale is an employee of University of Lagos and lectures at the department of Geosciences. He graduated from former Ondo State University (now Ekiti State University) where he studied geology from 1990-1994. He later proceeded to University of Ibadan for his master programme in petroleum geology and sedimentology. He researched on the “Environmental Geological Baseline Characterisation of Tar Sand Deposits at Igbotako Area, Southwestern Nigeria” for his Ph. D degree.  His current research work is on Technical Feasibility of Direct Application of the Nigerian Tar Sand Deposits as Road Asphalt. Over the years he has risen through the ranks to the position of an Associate Professor in his academic career.

He has many scientific research publications to his credit especially in the area of tar sands development and related environmental issues. He has been to many conferences and presented academic papers. As a professional geologist, he has taken part in many field work exercise.

Dr. Akinmosin is a member of many professional bodies which include Council of Mining Engineers and Geoscientists (COMEG), Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS), and Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE). His lecturing experience spans over sixteen years
