Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Dr. Adeyemi is an Environmental Pharmaceutical chemistry specialist with special focus on sample preparation, toxicology pharmaceutical analysis and nanomedicines. He has his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1993; Masters in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in Natural Product chemistry from University of Lagos in 2000 and a Ph.D in Pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Lagos in 2011. Over the years, he has conducted several researches in environmental pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis and environmental toxicology. He has also synthesized and applied nanomaterials in sample preparation. He has visited Rhodes University, South Africa, where he worked as a visiting researcher. He has also attended and presented papers at several conferences. He has beeb a visiting scholar at University of Johannesburg, South Africa, Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, University of Kumasi Ghana and University of California, Riverside, U.SA. He has played the role of key presenters on several occasions during the International toxicological symposium in Africa jointly hosted by University of Johannesburg, North West University, both in South Africa and Hokkaido University Japan, and which were held in Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. He is currently member of Chemical Society of Nigeria. He has mentored over 120 undergraduates and 50 postgraduate students. He currently has 17 publications in reputable journals.
