Dr. Adetoro is an entomologist with bias for the control and management of insects of medico-veterinary importance as well other household/urban pests. He had his undergraduate degree  in Zoology, graduating a Second Class Upper Division from the University of Lagos in 2004; Masters of Science degree in Applied Entomology and Pest Management in 2009, and PhD degree in the same discipline in 2016, both from the University of Lagos. He has over five year cognate teaching and research experience and has  conducted research in mosquito and cockroach control tactics using innovative tools as alternatives or complements to conventional ones. He has also mentored at least five students who have, and are still working in the afore-mentioned research areas. Dr Adetoro is a member of three professional and academic groups, published four peer-reviewed articles.
