Dr. Oladunni Mojirayo Ogundana

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Ogundana is an Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology specialist with focus on Salivary Pathology and Community Oral and Maxillofacial anomalies. She had her undergraduate training in Dental Sciences (B.ch.D) and graduated with honours from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun State in year 2000. In addition, she obtained her Postgraduate fellowship in Dental Surgery; Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology in year 2000 from the West African College of Surgeons and is a 2013 alumnus of the Clinical Dental research summer course, University of Washington, Seattle, USA.

Over the years she has conducted various researches in the area of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology specialty and mentored a number of both undergraduate and postgraduate dental students. She is currently the course co-ordinate for the 300 level BDS Oral Biology course and one of the Faculty of Dental sciences course advisers. She is a member of the International Association of Oral Pathologists and the Nigerian Dental Association. She has published over 12 scientific articles in peer-reviewed international and local journals. She is presently involved in a research grant from the Central Research Committee of the University of Lagos in collaboration with UTI OG. et al. to study the oral effects of cigarette smoking among residents of Lagos state, Nigeria.
