Joseph Igwe is a professor of Architectural History and Theory. He had his undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies graduated from University of Lagos in 1975; Master of Environmental Design in Architecture from University of Lagos in 1977. Over the 36 years of teaching experience, conducted research in Housing and Human Settlement Issues; ICT in Architecture; Architectural History and Theory mentored over 100 students, worked as Consultant Architect to University of Lagos and Wellspring University Benin City and achieved full membership of Nigerian Institute of Architects, fellowship of the Association of Nigerian Chartered Architects and member of West African Rapid Urbanism and Heritage Research Network, has 29 publications, won and managed one research grants.
