Miss Odekunle is an Urban Planner with focus on urban competitiveness and resilience; local, regional and global economic development; neighbourhood change, urban planning and urban development studies and inter-city network analysis. She has her undergraduate degree in Urban and Regional Planning and graduated from university of Lagos, Nigeria in 2014; Masters in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands in 2017 and a second Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2018. Over the years, she has conducted research on Regional Trade for Economic Prosperity in Africa; Socio-Spatial Assessment of Gentrification as a Consequence of Land Administration Practices in Old Maroko, Lagos, Nigeria; On Forced evictions, Urban Development and the Right to the City in Lagos, Nigeria: Revisiting the 1990 Maroko evictions. Her current research is on Africa within global smart Cities: What do we know and how to proceed? She is currently a mentor to 1 student in the department of Urban and Regional Planning. She worked as Assistant Teacher in Greensprings School and as a Planning and Graphics Designer in Masterplan Consult. She is a member of Nigerian Institute of Town Planners.  Her current researches are presently under review for publication. She has won and managed a grant: Needs Assessment Intervention Fund (2016).
