I am a Pathologist with a special interest in diseases that affect women, experimental pathology and genetics. In recent times my focus has been on breast cancer because of its aggressiveness in women of African ancestry. We are currently investigating the genetic causes of the high incidence of Triple Negative breast cancer in women of African Ancestry as well as its association with the metabolic syndrome.
