David Mautin Oke has a PhD Economics degree of the University of Ibadan under the Collaborative PhD Programme (CPP), for the Sub-Saharan African (SSA) Countries, of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Nairobi, Kenya. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow in economics of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He was a winner of a doctoral research writing grant of the African Economic Research Consortium, Kenya as well as a doctoral scholar of the Lagos State Government. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Economics of the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He obtained his PhD in economics from the famous University of Ibadan. He had also lectured at the Department of Economics of the Lagos State University. He is a Certified Business Advisor (CBA) of the Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa. He is a member of many professional bodies including the Nigerian Economic Society, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Nigerian Association for Energy Economics and International Association for Energy Economics. He is also a member of the Macroeconomics Working Group of the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His research areas are in monetary economics/macroeconomics, energy economics cum development economics, and efficiency cum productivity. David also read theology apart from economics
