Dr. Lawanson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos, Nigeria. Her area of specialisation is Labour Economics. She has her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, where she graduated with a Second class upper division in 1986; Masters in Economics from the University of Lagos in 1987 and a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Lagos in 2004. Over the years, she has gained a lot of experience, conducted researches in a number of areas in the field of Labour Economics and other fields. She has mentored a large number of students over a long period of time. She has conducted a number of Researches and achieved membership of professional and academic groups. She has over 25 publications to her credit.
