Professor Adeyemi, FCA, FCIM is of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Lagos (UNILAG).  He is a member of the University of Lagos Senate.  He is also a member of two Committees of Senate and a sub-Committee of Council of UNILAG.  He was the immediate past Head of Department of Accounting in UNILAG having served for seven years in that capacity. He was a member of the Steering Committee of the Nigerian Accounting Standards Board (now Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria) for several years.  He was also in the employment of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria as Director of Research and Technical Services.

Professor Adeyemi has several scholarly publications in reputable national and international outlets.  He is the editor of the Global Journal of Accounting.  He is the external examiner to several Federal, State and Privately-owned Universities in addition to serving the National Universities Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria in different capacities.  Currently, he is a member of the Technical Committee for the ICAN Accountability Index. He has produced many PhD graduates in accounting. His areas of specialization are financial reporting, auditing and assurance services.
