Solabomi Ajibolade is a Professor of Accounting and Head of the Department of Accounting, University of Lagos. She holds the B. Sc., MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in Accounting from the University of Lagos. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals. She also holds an ICAN Forensic Accounting Certification. Her research covers Management and accounting control and performance management in organizations, ethics education, business ethics and forensic accounting.

She has considerable work experience in public and private sectors before joining the Academia at the University of Lagos in 1998.  She has served in various administrative positions in the University of Lagos including the Acting Head of the Department of Accounting for three years to 2015, the Department’s Postgraduate Programs Coordinator (2008 to 2011), Deputy Coordinator, MBA Program, Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, and the 2019 Conference Chairman of the Faculty. She was also a Visiting Scholar at the Jesse H. Jones Business School, Texas Southern University, Houston, Texas, USA from 2006 to 2007 and at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon, Ghana in 2010. She has supervised over one hundred Master’s Theses and seven PhD Theses and served as external examiner and external assessor for a number of Public and Private Universities in Nigeria. She has also published widely in both national and international journals and participated as paper presenter in various International Business and Accounting conferences in Nigeria, UK, USA, Canada, the United Arab Emirate and other African countries.
