Otonye Bille Ayodele is a sculptor and an art historian. She attended Queen's College, Lagos (1974-1979), Federal Government College, Port Harcourt (1979-1981), where her innate creative tendencies were groomed. She proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1983- 1986) for her B.A. in Fine Art and graduated with honours, specializing in sculpture and painting. She obtained her M.A. (1997) and Ph.D. (2010) from University of Ibadan, Ibadan. Ayodele has trained several artists since 1987 at various levels. She joined the staff of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in 2000 and now, currently employed as a senior lecturer at the University of Lagos, Akoka. She widely experiments with forms and media. Her themes are feminine and feminist. She has participated in several group exhibitions and has one solo exhibition to her credit. She has also won several awards for art including a special recognition by the First Lady for contributing to the arts in Rivers State during Better Life for Rural Women programme in 1987.
