Before joining the University of Lagos, Dr. Adams was Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Fountain University, Osogbo, Nigeria. His research interest includes: Non-Traditional Security (Human Security), Religion and Politics, Regionalism and Globalisation. He has published articles in Scopus listed and Index Islamicus journals and contributed chapters in edited books such as Islam and Diplomacy: The quest for human security, M. H. Kamali, K. D. Crow, E. Akhmetova (eds.), Selangor, Malaysia: International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) and Human Security and Philanthropy: Islamic Perspectives and Muslim Majority Country Practices, S. Hasan (ed.). New York: Springer. He has presented papers at national and international conferences. Dr. Adams is an experienced journalist. He was Chief Correspondent at Punch Newspaper, Lagos, Nigeria (1998-2007). He is the Coordinator of the Foundation programme.
