Dr. OYENUSI Elizabeth Eberechi is a Senior Lecturer with focus on paediatric endocrinology and an honorary consultant Paediatrician to LUTH. She obtained the MBBS degrees from the University of Lagos in 1996, the associate fellowship of the West African College of Physicians in the faculty of Paediatrics in 2006 and fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in the faculty of Paediatrics in 2012. She did her sub-specialization in the area of Paediatric Endocrinology, obtaining the fellowship of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE) from the Pan-African Paediatric Endocrinology Centre for Africa in Nairobi Kenya in 2010. She has also obtained the advanced fellowship of ESPE from Rambam Healthcare Campus, Haifa in Israel in 2011 and the International Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes Science School Certificate from Kyoto, Japan in 2012.She is the assistant coordinator and a local tutor at the Paediatric Endocrinology Training Centre for West Africa, Lagos and together with other international and local tutors, trained 32 paediatric endocrinologists from different countries in West Africa from 2012 to 2017. As an honorary consultant, Dr Oyenusi is also involved in training resident doctors specializing in Paediatrics in LUTH. She presently has 24 publications in peer reviewed journals in both local and international journals and has also made presentations of her research work in many local and international conferences. She has managed some mini-grants for her research project for paediatric endocrinology fellowship by ESPE and the MEPIN Year 05 mentored research grant. She has also been a co-investigator in a study funded by the University of Lagos mini grant scheme and another funded by the BRAINS mentored research grant. Dr Oyenusi is a member of many learned societies.
