MY PROFILE  

My name is Muyideen Owonire LAWAL, an Associate Professor of Fisheries at the Department  of Marine Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Lagos, Akoka, Nigeria. I obtained B. Agric.  (Hons.) Animal Science (1991) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. M.Sc. (2001)  and PhD (2010) in Fisheries from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. My research interests include  Aquatic Ecology, Fisheries Biology and Fish Nutrition. I have over 40 research articles in both  National and International Journals. 

I have thought several courses at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. I carry out  supervision of student projects at undergraduate and postgraduate including doctorate students. I have won many research grants and collaborated in areas of Fisheries sustainability, Phytobiotics  in Aquaculture and Environmental management, locally and internationally. I am a reviewer of many peer-review journals and participated in academic conferences across the world. I belong to  both professional and alumni associations.
