Dr. Collins. S. OBOH

Dr. Collins Oboh is a Chevening Scholar of the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO), UK. He holds an MSc in Forensic Accounting with Distinction from Northumbria University, UK and a PhD (Accounting Ethics and Moral Development) from the University of Lagos. He started his teaching and research activities as an Adjunct lecturer at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) in 2013 and became a member of staff at the Department of Accounting, University of Lagos in 2014. He was awarded the Most Punctual Lecturer, 2013/2014 session, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Lagos. He is a recipient of the Award of Honour in 2017 by Hope for All Africa, Nigeria, and was the 2nd Best PhD Thesis Proposal Presenter at the ICAN PhD Colloquium at the ICAN 3rd Academic Conference on Accounting and Finance, April 2017. He was an ICAN ₦500,000 PhD Research Grant Awardee in 2018.

Dr. Oboh is a mentor and life coach, an ardent promoter of integrity and excellence among young people. He has served in different committees, some of which include Examination, ICT, and Research Committees. He was the Managing Editor, Global Journal of Accounting (2018-2020), a publication of the Department of Accounting, University of Lagos. He also served as the Faculty Time-Table Officer (2019-2020). He is a Reviewer for Emerald and Sage Publishing Companies and has attended and presented papers at both local and international learned academic conferences. He has over fifteen local and international published articles comprising of journal publications, Case studies, Books, and conference proceedings. His research addresses issues of fraud, ethics and moral development among professional accountants
