Dr. Uzeh is a Microbiologist with focus on Food Microbiology. She had her undergraduate degree in Microbiology graduated from Edo State University in 1987; Masters in Food and Industrial Microbiology from University of Benin in 1990 and a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology from Ambrose Alli University in 2000. Over the years she has been engaged in meaningful research and teaching. She has conducted researches in Food Microbiology with special interest in food processing, preservation, safety, functional microorganisms and food. She has mentored a good number of students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. She was a lecturer in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, a senior research scientist in Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi and currently a lecturer in University of Lagos. She is a member of professional and academic groups among which are American Society for Microbiology, U.S.A., Society for Applied Microbiology, UK, Nigerian Society for Microbiology, Association of Industrial Microbiologist of Nigeria and Biotechnology Society of Nigeria. She currently has thirty three journal publications.
