Dr. Cordelia Ukamaka Dueke-Eze

Dr. Dueke-Eze, is a Bioinorganic Chemist with research focus on synthesizing metal complexes with heterocyclic moiety and their use in the discovery of drugs against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other clinical diseases.

She is a graduate of the University of Calabar with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Chemistry. She holds an MSc (Environmental Chemistry) and Ph .D. (Chemistry) from the University of Lagos.

She teaches Chemistry in the University of Lagos. Over the years, Cordelia has supervised and mentored both undergraduate and postgraduate Chemistry research projects. She has also co supervised students from other departments whose research work requires the use Chemistry techniques. She has ongoing inter-and multi-disciplinary collaborations with researchers at Universities in Nigeria, South Africa among others.

Dr Dueke-Eze is a member of several professional bodies including Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), United Kingdom, Organisation for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON) among others.

Her research has resulted in several publications in local and international peer reviewed journals. She has also made several presentations at local and international conferences.
